Apitree is a vibrant family firm, growing year by year since 2011. Paula came from Ireland with her family to the Far, Far North of New Zealand to settle among the pristine Manuka bush and to expand the knowledge of apiculture in the spirit of the local custom of kaitiaki: guardianship of the land and its creatures.

Paula, a long-time beekeeper, is committed to bringing the highest quality NZ honey to the world through excellence in apiculture practice. Paula shares her excitement and vision throughout the whole of the region through active membership in the local bee keeping association, providing demonstrations to the wider public, and mentoring numerous local beekeepers.
